Traces of Home in Belgrade
Collaborative art project titled "Traces from the Country – Bridges of Stolen History" by Irma Markulin, Dusica Cajlan-Georg Wissel and Georg Wissel deals with the notion of a past that has a narrative and analytical functions. Focus of the performance is family micro stories from the environment which artists are coming from - artists compare and criticize memories from the homeland with the memories from the new environments.
Both experiences, those from the childhood and new ones, define their daily lives and provide them with an opportunity to create new and richer artistic expressions. The performance consists of the installation in the space that combines visual and acoustic experience - photography, performance and music that are dynamically rotating following the order of artist’s memories.
